PSHE

All pupils complete a full ‘Life Skills’ programme of study during their time at Long Stratton High School. This incorporates Citizenship, PSHE Education and Careers guidance.

We aim to equip our students with the skills to enjoy healthy, safe, responsible and fulfilled lives in modern Britain. We want out students to develop spiritual, moral, social and cultural awareness, alongside financial and political awareness. We explore the British values of democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance.

The statutory guidance states that from 2020 all schools must deliver an RSE/ Health Education programme. All pupils are entitled to an age-appropriate relationship and sex education (RSE and Health Education) programme as an integral part of our whole school PSHE programme that incorporates all new Statutory requirements outlined by the government.
